๐๏ธ CSocD64 Oral Statement | Field-Based AI Governance for Youth Safety ๐ฏ
ย
At the 64th session of the UN Commission for Social Development (CSocD64), @Chanjun Park, Researcher at The Blue Tree Foundation (BTF), delivered our official oral statement on youth-centered AI governance.
ย
We emphasized the โจ โfield-policy cycleโ AI governance model โจ โ where lived experiences from the field inform policy design, and that policy is tested and implemented back in real-world settings. AI policy must move beyond abstract principles and meaningfully address the digital realities youth face today.
ย
Based on this approach, we proposed four key priorities:
๐น Inclusive global ethical guidelines on AI that explicitly protect youth,
๐น Shared accountability frameworks to assess AI systems grounded in dignity and equity,
๐น Stronger integrated recovery and empowerment pathways for victims, and
๐น International cooperation mechanisms that connect policy, monitoring, and information-sharing
ย
When policy enables, business equips, civil society delivers, schools embed, and international organizations catalyze this collective effort, violence prevention can move from commitment to measurable global impact.
